The School of Law at Case �鶹ӳ�� recently honored its LGBTQIA+ students with its first Lavender Graduation ceremony, celebrating the achievements of our graduating LGBTQIA+ students and their allies and showing appreciation for their contributions to the law school community.

On Saturday, May 14, Case �鶹ӳ�� School of Law celebrated the Class of 2022 during a commencement ceremony at Severance Music Center. A recording of the event is available to view online.

Patrick Conroy, Yang Gu and Alexa Shook, 2022 graduates of the School of Law at Case �鶹ӳ��, successfully persuaded the State of Ohio to grant property tax exemption to The Edna House for Women for its newly expanded campus in Cleveland’s Detroit Shoreway neighborhood.

Cathy Lesser Mansfield is a faculty member at Case �鶹ӳ�� School of Law. She’s also the librettist and composer of the opera The Sparks Fly Upward, which has its Cleveland premiere at the Milton and Tamar Maltz Performing Arts Center June 9-12.

Students in the Class of 2022 recently received awards for their excellence with the Milton and Charlotte Kramer Clinic, scholarly  publications and fellowships.

Over the past two years, preLaw magazine ranked CWRU as a "Top Law School" in 13 specialty areas: 

A recent study ranked CWRU the 3rd best law school in the country in Moot Court and Mock trial success. The top five were: #1 Fordham, #2 University of Miami, #3 CWRU, #4 Harvard, and #5 American.*

The School of Law at Case �鶹ӳ�� congratulates students from the class of 2022 who received the following Excellence and Achievement awards: Patricia Burgess Public Law Prize Presented to Mark Firmin Jr. for outstanding academic performance in the field of public law.

The Case �鶹ӳ�� School of Law congratulates the student, faculty and staff recipients of the following awards, as determined by a spring vote by the graduating class of 2022:

Two students from the Case �鶹ӳ�� School of Law were among the winners of the fifth annual The Ohio State University College of Public Health Student Case Competition, held remotely in April. 

On Saturday, May 14, the School of Law honored 13 students with Case Global Service Awards. The students were recognized for their extraordinary contributions to the School of Law’s top-ranked international law program.  

Nadia Haile (LAW ‘22) and Makela Hayford (LAW ‘22), immediate past co-presidents of the Student Bar Association at CWRU School of Law, spoke at Commencement on Saturday, May 14.
