Meet your team: CWRU in Madrid

A key to your success as a CWRU in Madrid student is the team of people surrounding you. You will have several people designated to be a resource to you, not only as you begin your experience in Spain, but throughout your time at Case Â鶹ӳ».

Your four-year advisor: Your four-year advisor is the key to creating a college experience that is uniquely your own. Beginning this summer, they will help you plan the courses you will take as a CWRU in Madrid student, and discuss how they will connect to your overall academic plan. Once on campus and throughout your CWRU years, they will work with you to provide advice on areas of study, academic policies and degree requirements. In addition, they will point you to experiences, research, student organizations and more that you might be interested in. Their goal is to make sure you take full advantage of opportunities that help you explore your interests and reach your goals.

Your study abroad advising team: The study abroad advising team will manage all the non-academic details in preparation for your time in Spain. They will be hosting regular required webinars (which will be recorded and shared for later viewing if needed) to cover important preparations such as visa requirements, health and safety, housing, and cultural awareness. Upon arrival, they will also lead your in-country orientation and your official welcome to Madrid.

Your on-site CWRU professor: A CWRU faculty member will live in Madrid and teach a course that will fulfill some of your Unified General Education Requirements toward degree completion. The faculty member will also lead cultural excursions throughout the semester and will serve as an in-person support resource.

The faculty and staff at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M): The international office at UC3M and your UC3M faculty will all be available to help you adjust to your time in Spain and help you with your coursework. You will meet them in the first week of classes.
