Part of the North Residential Village, Taplin House is a traditional-style residence hall in the first-year Juniper residential community. It houses approximately 110 students in mostly double rooms. Taplin House was named for Elsie May Holliday Taplin (1879-1961), an alumna who served on the Βι¶ΉΣ³» Board of Trustees from 1941 to 1948. She grew up in Cleveland as the daughter of prominent physician Dr. Benjamin Holliday, and both she and her sister Marguerite attended Βι¶ΉΣ³» College for Women. She met her husband, Charles F. Taplin when they were both members of the Class of 1901 at Βι¶ΉΣ³».
