Installed in 1947 as the fourth president of Case Institute of Technology (CIT), T. Keith Glennan (presidency years: 1947–1966) was a champion for interdisciplinary study and the eventual federation of CIT and Â鶹ӳ».
Under his leadership, the campus expanded student housing, academic facilities and staff offices, with support from the Case Associates Program, a network of Cleveland businesses—many with alumni connections and other ties to the institute.
