Case Âé¶¹Ó³» (CWRU) School of Dental Medicine Department is inviting applications for Experienced Clinicians interested in a compensated half-time position, which includes university benefits. The focus of this position is on the clinical training of third and fourth-year dental students. The appointment is at Instructor/Senior Instructor level in the Department of Comprehensive Care. This contract is for a 12-month term and may be renewed contingent upon the individual's performance.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The applicant’s teaching responsibilities will include the training and management of a clinical practice group of 3rd & 4th year DMD Students. Direct clinical supervision of the students, daily feedback via grading of performance, supervising students management of their patient rosters, providing clinical instruction as well as monthly limited didactic clinical seminars are essential responsibilities of this position.
Minimum Qualifications for Each Candidate:
a) Must have a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree and eligibility for licensure in Ohio.
b) A minimum of 3 (three) years of experience in dentistry and/or evidence of advanced education and training is required.
Preferred Qualifications for Each Candidate:
a) Five (5) years of clinical practice and teaching experience is preferred.
b) Experience with an electronic health record, digital dentistry (intraoral scanners, digital design, CAD/CAM milling, 3D printing, etc.)
c) Candidates who are general dentists without additional advanced training and who have no previous teaching experience will be considered for the rank of Instructor.
